Background:
Churchill Community College is most pleasantly situated in acres of playing fields in Churchill Street, High Howdon, south of the Newcastle to Tynemouth A1058 Coast Road, at the junction of the Battle Hill and Howdon slip road. The college has a large assembly hall equipped for drama and musical performances, eight fully equipped science laboratories, three fully equipped food technology rooms with computers and two well equipped textiles rooms with modern computerised equipment, a gymnasium, a dance studio and large sportshall with superb facilities and equipment, a squash court and netball courts. Students have many opportunities to take part in educational visits and the college continues to develop strong links with business and industry to the benefit of its students. The college aims to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment, which is flexible to meet the diverse needs of everyone.
