Serves parishes of Holy Rosary and St Gregory's on edge of South Shields; about 15 per cent of pupils are from non-Catholic families who have chosen Christian education for their children; school enjoys 'very good support' from parents and local community. School is 'of the firm belief that the education it offers has breadth, balance, relevance and equal opportunities for all pupils'. Extra-curricular clubs at lunch-time and after school, the interests of both pupils and staff determining what activities on offer: football, netball, cross-country athletics, cricket, rounders, computer internet club and line-dancing.
